Using Time machine I just moved everything to a new MacBook air. It did not fill in the email password in the Server Settings section. I do not remember the password and have tried all the likely passwords and nothing works. There is no link to help reset the password. What do I do

Did you use Migration Assistant?

Nothing to do with Time Machine password.
Is your web mail id is configured with gmail , yahoo or what , please reply .
Check Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access. The password should be stored there or go to your e-mail provider's website. There should be a forgot password option there.
