iPhone 6 Plus Phone App Freeze

Just about every friggin time I have a voicemail and listen to it - it either does not work properly or if it does the phone app will freeze - it is a friggin nightmare! *** is Apple doing to fix this POS app? Or, is there a fix? Re-booting is only way to get out of the freeze...
