Why is my brand new iPhone 7 plus battery so significantly using more battery than my 6s Plus?
Can someone explain to me why my 7 plus' battery uses significantly more battery than my 6s plus?

No, because my 7 plus battery uses much less battery than my previous phone. I can go 3 days between charges if I want to (I don't because I charge overnight every night - but here it is the end of the day and my 7Plus is showing 80% remaining charge). I never got past 1 day with any other iPhone. So it's something wrong with your phone, or an app is misbehaving. Go to Settings/Battery and see which app it is.
