I'm trying to pair my Apple remote (silver - 7 buttons) with my new Macbook Pro with Touch Bar and it doesn't want to work. Does new Macbook Pro with Touch Bar not have an IR receiver? Is that why it's not working?

What if I don't use Keynote? I'm using QuickTime Player right now and need my remote to work with my macbook pro 2016 with Sierra. Help?
