All of a sudden I no longer have access to my tracks input monitoring button within my logic projects which makes things particularly difficult when Im mixing and logic is playing back all input sources from my computer's mic. I've tried configuring the track header and still can get it to show up. I just updated to OS 10.12.2 so Im guessing this is whats causing difficulties. Anyone else having this issue?

I had the same problem and found this string. I had recently changed my audio interface and when I went back to my regular BabyFace Pro, it showed it as a temporary device in the input and output devices. In the pull down menu I found the original device (not temporary) and selected it - then went back to the track header setting and checked the input icon setting and it came back! Hope this haps.

Ya that was the first thing I tried. When I activate Input Monitoring through the track header configuration all the other buttons shift as if its being added but the "I" never appears
Also you are sure you are looking at audio tracks and not software instrument tracks...
Go to Logic's Preferences/Audio
Check your Input and Output Devices settings.
Make sure Core Audio is checked.
Did you try widening the track header a bit so there is more room to display the header buttons ?
Ya tried that. Im certified in Logic and I tried just about everything I can think of so Im convinced its got to be a bug so idk if the only option i have is to wait it out until theres a bug fix

Wow idk what happened but I just opened up logic and now input monitoring is back. Problem solved, some how
