How to delete a playlist folder on iOS

Hi,

Some weeks ago, i created 2 playlist folders in iTunes for mac to manage my playlists : one called "décennies", other called "artistes".

These folders were presents in Apple Music playlist on iOS (iPhone and iPad) but empty. So I want to erase these folders. To do that :

On my mac:

- I delete all playlist presents in each folders

- I delete the 2 folders

On my iOS device, after some minutes, the "décennies" folder disappears : ok, it's fine BUT the folder "artistes" stay on my iOS devices...

I found no way to erase it : on my mac, i've already deleted it and on iOS devices, I found no option to erase a playlist folder..

Any idea to help me ?

Thank you

Greetings PPEfr,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you deleted a playlist folder on the Mac and it is not updating to the iPhone. It sounds like one folder you did delete has updated to the iPhone. One thing you can do is to sign out of iTunes on the iPhone and sign back in and see if it pushes the update to the iPhone. I would recommend you read this article and use it to help troubleshoot the issue.

  1. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store.
  2. Tap your Apple ID. If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
  3. Tap Sign Out.
    User uploaded file
  4. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.
  5. Tap Sign In, then enter your Apple ID and password.

Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Note: When you sign out it will remove any downloaded Apple Music you have for offline use, you will need to redownload it to the iPhone when you sign back in.
Take care.
