Trying to make a Ringtone
I am using a Mac Desktop 10.10.5 OXS Yosemite, updated 12-15-2016, 12.5.4
I am trying to make a ringtone from my music library. Prior to the update I was able to do this; the steps 1) clicking on the song 2) clicking GET INFO, Options, and changing the length of the song to 30 seconds or less, 3) converting the file to an AAC audio file (there are more steps but my problem now is here)
After the update, I notice two things: First, after changing the song to a 30 second interval and clicking OK, this new short version is supposed to end up under SONGS in my music library. It is not...so apparently clicking OK is not saving it, I guess. Secondly, using an old song/ringtone I made I was unable to convert it to an AAC audio file. Trying to figure this out led me to Finder where I realized the updated version has all audio files as AAC audio files...?? I think. Anyway, maybe this is the problem.
The steps I used to make ringtones in the past are from an online site which is two years old and I cannot locate an update to his YouTube video. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
