Hi
Your iPhone uses its own battery, which will continue charging whenever the Smart Battery Case has a charge.
This is normal and will not harm the lifespan of the battery in your iPhone.

Quoting Apple: "if you store [the battery] fully charged for an extended period of time, the battery may lose some capacity, leading to shorter battery life."

With the case attached permanently and the internal battery at around 100 percent all the time, you are effectively "storing it fully charged for an extended period of time".
No. The phone will use the battery in the case until it is depleted, then switch to the battery in the phone. It won't hurt the phone's battery; if anything, it will extend the life of the phone's battery because it will have fewer charge/discharge cycles.
Not quite true. Apple should acknowledge that the laws of physics apply to their products too. Constantly charging a li-ion battery to 100 percent will increase wear off and reduce its lifespan.
Granted, using the case is still better than having the iPhone's battery go through complete charge cycles. Yet, ideally, it should be programmed to keep the built-in battery charged between 50 and 85 percent.

This information is inaccuarte. The case does not constantly charge the internal battery to 100%. The phone stops accepting a charge when it reaches 100% and starts to drain again. There is nothing magic about keeping a lithium ion batter between 50 and 85 percent.

No, you're not. You are using the phone, not storing it. You're using the battery, charging it and discharging it.
