iphone 6 charge port is loose

My iphone 6 seems like having a trouble on the charging port. When i put down my phone on table it can be charge normally, but when i pick it up while still charging, the charging will goes on and off. Tried to change the cable but its the same issue so i assume that the charging port is the problem.

I went to the official store and they said they need to bring it to the service center to get the phone checked but it may require 1-2 months time.

Is there any other solution rather than to bring it to service center? as i cannot wait until 2 months time.

I had this problem with my current iPhone 6S as well as my older 5S. In one of the questions on this community I saw someone mention lint bunnies and how they cleaned their charging port. I tried that - took a stiff slim wire and cleaned the inside of the charging port - was surprised to find a lot of lint in there. After cleaning tried charging - and voila - it worked.

I realized it happened to my phones because I keep them in my jeans / pants pocket and they gather lint. Never happens to my wife's phone as she keeps in her purse 🙂
