Sleep issue with MacBook Pro Touch Bar

Hello, I have an issue with a MBP 2016 with TB. It doesn't stay in sleep. I reinstalled from scratch without any additional software installed. Standard power settings. Power disconnected. Everything disconnected. It doesn't stay in sleep:

From system.log goes in sleep:

I'm having the same issue, even if in my case the mac doesn't wake up completely but just the keyboard backlight.

My system log shows the same error as yours:

I've done a complete reinstall also (MBP 2016 15" Touchbar) and did it with a Genius. Not much of an improvement. My log also has the MacBook going to Apple every 9 minutes and 2 seconds at 17.188.166.210 even though it should not. The Genius said that was iCloud and it will do that even though it should not. I'm also getting Airport errors like this one...

Sat Jul 15 00:49:43.017 <kernel> AirPort_Brcm43xx::platformWoWEnable: WWEN[enable], in_fatal_err[0].

Which makes me wonder if it's my airport card in the MacBook or if it's one of the old Airport Expresses in my network that's causing issues. Do you have old Airport Expresses or Apple TV's on your network?

I put the laptop in a bag and I don't know why I decided to check something after a while. I took it out and it was REALLY hot. After I opened it the fans started working and the temperature got down. I don't know if any component (battery) was damaged due to the high temperatures.

Hi everyone. I had the same issue and it let me hate this machine.

In the morning I make me a coffee, lay down on my couch, throw my book on my legs and open the lid and see the low battery symbol 😠 nearly every morning!!!!! It let me freak out, so I throw it away stamping through my apartment searching this #%$%&$%&***! Power Adapter to plug it in. It runs out of battery even when it was at 100% in the evening.

My college gave me the hint to delete all configured connections in network preferences which are listed on the left: WiFi, Thunderbolt Ethernet etc. (everything)! and apply. Just configure What you need right now like WiFi, bluetooth etc. my list was long about the time with iPhone USB Tethering, FireWire, Thunderbolt this, Thunderbolt that etc. etc.

This fixed my problem and My MBP TB sleeps like a baby every time I close the lid without this issue now.

I am happy now and treat my college to lunch today! Hopefully it helps also you guys!

Cheers

B
