And the answer that you can turn on Do Not Disturb is a terrible clumsy solution. If I want to quickly shoot a video when something happens I don't have time to go and set Do Not Disturb (nor do I want to have to waste time going in and turning it off again after I shoot a video). I want to shoot as soon as I can get my phone in my hand and camera turned on. I have lost numerous videos because I get an alert about a news story or someone messaging me and that stops recording. Why on earth would I want this? Surely Apple can make the iOS smart enough to prioritise video recording over temporary alerts. Can they not pop up but video recording goes on? I don't see why they have to stop recording?
Not only do they seem to stop recording but the camera is then frozen with a blurred screen. You cannot start recording again or take a photo until you close the camera app and reopen it. This is clearly a bug. Please fix it Apple.
