Red Dot on Voicemail Icon

Hi All,

Since moving over to my new iPhone 7 and upgrading to IOS 10.2 few weeks ago - I have been receiving the dreaded Red Dot (with no numbers) over the voicemail Icon at irregular and spurious times. For a while I was receiving voice messages but not receiving any notification at all (v. frustrating). Vodafone UK is set to "icon notification" when this occurs.

When I put the sim back into my iPhone 6 running IOS 10.2 - no problems at all - all working as designed.

So - its not a carrier issues. I've tried resetting the network settings on my iPhone 7 and no change.

Is it a 10.2 bug?

Try a Forced Restart of the device:

Force Restart (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)

On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
