What is meant by post code

The mail delivery system in most countries has identification numbers

or codes (letters & numbers in some location) that co-relate to towns

and geographic locations; so if you have an obligation to an authority

or a bank, or a utility bill or rent, this postal code would help in delivery.

various post codes in several countries. Other such sites exist online.

If you live in an area that has mail deliveries or parcel services, these

use the postal code. This also is used to help determine your legal

residency based on other obligatory payments via that address.

Anyway, any business or government agency that uses the mails or deliveries

should be able to help you determine your postal code; if renting, your landlord.

Sorry to not have an answer that fits everywhere. Some locations haven't a code.

A postcode is also known as a zip code in some countries. It usually consists of numerals. Addresses consist of suburb and postcode. If you don't know what yours is try googling it.
