Signing out of mail on iPad mini

Is it possible to sign out/log out of mail on only my iPad mini, but still get all of my mail through the cloud on all of my other devices (macbook pro and iPhone 6)? My children need to use my iPad mini, but I do not want them to have access to my mail or messages. Messages is not a problem because to accessing messages on my iPad requires me to sign in using my apple id and password.

Truly,

Gina

If you really don't care about accessing email on the iPad, just delete the account and then you don't have to worry about the kids seeing your email. You can't sign out of the account like you would do on a computer.

I Don't know who your email provider is but you can always access your email on the server in a web browser if you use the Mini and need to get to your email. You can do this with iCloud mail as well, by identifying Safari as a desktop browser.

In addition to Demo's suggestion, you can disable email from any Mail account that you have set up on the iPad:

Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/(select desired email account), now turn off the slider for the Mail setting.

You won't get email from the account but it will still be accessible from any of your other devices.

You are not signing out of the account; you are simply bypassing the email aspect of it.

If you want to protect these settings from being changed (by your kids), enable restrictions under:

Settings/General/Restrictions(set up a Restrictions passcode), scroll down to Allow Changes/Accounts/Don't Allow Changes.
