cannot monitor through interface

My system:

mid-2012 MacBookPro (15-inch) 2.6GHz Intel Core i7

16GB ram

El Capitan (10.11.6)

Logic Pro X (10.2.4)

FocusRite Scarlett 18i20 (2nd generation) interface

I just purchased the FocusRite interface, installed the driver and FocusRite Control. The device shows up in my Logic Audio Prefs, and I have set the Output to it, but I am *not* able to hear anything through the interface. I have verified that both pairs of headphones are functioning perfectly on other devices. I can see MIDI and audio information being received both by Logic and the Scarlett interface, so I know this is not an issue with hard connections. I can also monitor through the Built-In Output. I am convinced this is a software setting somewhere that I'm missing.

Any suggestions?

Logic Pro X, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

I didn't see a Mac driver package the 2ndGen Scarlett 18i20?

All you needed was the Mix Control package if used with Logic.

Which driver did you install?

You're using this version of Mix Control.

p.s. Just another user but recently installed a Scarlett 2i4 in a PC laptop so I'm a bit familiar with the interface.
