Macbook Black Screen On Startup
Good day everyone.
I was using my Macbook Pro earlier today and when I was finished with my work I simply shut it down using the option in the top left. I am now attempting to turn on my laptop and all I am getting is the boot-up sound and a black screen with backlighting.
However, I am able to use the laptop on an external monitor AND I am even able to use my actual Macbook laptop screen when I restart with bootcamp and use Windows! Obviously something bizarre has happened within my laptop's settings and something is going wrong with OSX.
I have used everyone key combination possible when restarting my Mac, from resetting the PRAM to SMC. I am just baffled! I am not terribly worried as I discovered that the display at least works with Windows. Worst case scenario I may have to do a restore of my laptop, but that would be very inconvenient.
Please let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thank you!
~Kaleb
(P.S. My Macbook is fully up to date and is running Sierra 10.12.2)
