youtube in safari jumps to end of timeline

Hello there,

since a few months i recognized when I watch youtube videos in safari, that a few seconds (about 5 - 10) before the video ends, safari jumps to the end of the videos timeline. This is not happen in Firefox Browser.


If you have any tips to solve this problem, I thank you in advance.

Go step by step and test.


1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All

Press the "Delete All" button

Install Adobe Flash Player.

Follow the prompts. Click Safari in the menu bar and then Quit Safari .

Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.


2. Allow Plug-ins

Safari > Preferences > Security

Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"

Enable it.


Click " Plug-in Settings" button for more options.

Enable “Adobe Flash Player:

Select “On” for “Currently open website” and When visiting other websites”.

Click “Done”.

3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.

At the bottom left of the page, uncheck the box beside

"You are currently in the HTML5 trial".


4. Delete cookies.

Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:

Click the “Manage Website Data” button. It may take a while for the data to show up.

Remove YouTube related cookies.
