sierra pdf engine

Hi All,

I heard that the PDF engine in Sierra does not support PDF 1.7 completely. I think that´s a complete NoGo cause when PDF 2.0 get´s released soon the Apple PDFKit will be very far behind.

Additionally I am wondering why Apples PDFKit does not support tagging. PDF/UA (ISO 14289-1) is now five years old. 14289-2 will follow soon. For a company putting so much publicity into their accessibility features this is quite embarissing in my opinion.

So, are there any rumours about how Apple is going to improve it´s PDF engine?
