Picture in Picture workflow issues

Hi there,

This is a new discussion that continues from Clip synchronization options greyed out

I created a video that explains the issues I'm having compiling my video which is usually shot on two cameras:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AekUg0Hiwb4

1. https://youtu.be/AekUg0Hiwb4?t=32 Automatic sync seem unreliable. Workaround: Go by content created & Angle editor to align perfectly

2. https://youtu.be/AekUg0Hiwb4?t=99 How to move clips directly between angles? Dragging may be inprecise

3. https://youtu.be/AekUg0Hiwb4?t=154 How to see angles on the project time line?

4. https://youtu.be/AekUg0Hiwb4?t=190 PIP: Not sure how to snap to consistent layouts, like fullscreen or top right

5. https://youtu.be/AekUg0Hiwb4?t=226 PIP: Choosing audio in PIP seems a bit manual (unlike choosing an angle)

6. https://youtu.be/AekUg0Hiwb4?t=372 Sometimes once transforming (iphone) footage it appears upside down or mouse is too unstable, related to #4

7. https://youtu.be/AekUg0Hiwb4?t=439 How do I edit multiple tracks at the same time? Compound doesn't allow me to see the PIP easily.

Hope you guys can help me smooth things out & better optimise my workflow.

1. Using Content Created seems to work just fine. Exactly why those controls are available

2. Have you tried holding the "Shift" key while dragging between Angles? Should prevent any drift

3. There isn't a way to see the angles in the timeline, other than by having the Angle Editor open. But, if you switched to the less populated angle, you'd be able to see where it starts and stops based on waveform

4. In the Inspector, you could change your scale to 50%. If you are in 1920x1080, your four positions should be x = 480 & y = 270, x = 480 & y = -270, x = -480 & y = 270, x = -480 & y = - 270. Set each position and select "Save Effects Preset". You can save the Preset to whatever Category you choose. You could even make a new category just for Position & Scale Presets.

5. You can always set your In & Out points for the Primary Storyline using the I & O keys. If you select "Final Cut Pro>Commands>Customize", you can bind "Set Volume to Silence" to any key you'd like on the keyboard. Although I think the touch bar already has that command set. It is true that this will be more of a manual process than switching angles on a multicam.

6. You could always make a preset for rotating iPhone footage that is upside down using the same process as in step 4.

7. Have you tried using the Blade Tool to create deletable segments? If you hold "Shift" while using the Blade Tool, it will blade all Lanes at once, allowing you to change duration (Ctrl+D) or Delete multiple layers at once.
