device registered limit

Hi,

I have 8 devices (2 iPhones, 3 iPads, 2 MacBook and 1 windows pc) registered to my Apple ID.

My problem is when I installed and signed in Apple Music app on my Android phone, there is a warning that I cannot registered because device limits has been reached. I was advised to remove my other devices.

So, I signed in to my account and checked into Manage your Apple ID. There is only 8 devices.

As I understand, you can use 10 devices to registered in your Apple ID.

Why can't I add more my Android phone (to register into Apple Music)? (Although I still can sign in but I cannot see my library. I can only stream the song.)

Hey sultoni,

If I understand correctly, you were told by the Apple Music app on your Android device that you reached the limit of associated devices with that Apple ID. When you checked through iTunes you had not reached the limit yet. This sounds like either you are using a different Apple ID that did reach the limit or is an issue specific to the app on your device. I would recommend you read these articles and use them to help troubleshoot the issue.

Get help with Apple Music on Android
When you said you can only stream the music, but you can sign in still, what happens if you try to download music?

In Apple Music, go to My Music or Playlists.

Tap More Options to the right of the song, album, or playlist name that you want to download.

Tap Download.

Create and manage your music collection in Apple Music on Android

Depending on when you associated your device with your Apple ID, you might need to wait up to 90 days to associate the device with another Apple ID.

View and remove your associated devices in iTunes
