Since updating to iOS 10.2, on both my Sennheiser headphones (in-ear and on-ear Momentum models) the volume and play-stop controls don't work anymore. The Sennheiser support says it's a matter of iOS software (which I also think, since the malfunction started when I updated to iOS 10.2).
Does anybody else experience this problem? Is a patch forthcoming?

I use Sennheiser, too, but not with my Mac. Excellent product. But I am not sure if it is Apples responsibility to do patches for third party manufacturers unless, perhaps, at the request of a manufacturer themselves. Have you asked them if they would contact Apple on behalf of their customers? If not, I think you should.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. Indeed I will ask them to contact Apple on the matter. Since it's a major headphones manufacturer, I am actually surprised nobody did so already, or even that the problem has arisen at all. But I'll try to do my bit, anyway.
iOS 10.2 on an iPhone SE, and my Sennheiser Momentum in ears are fine for volume and pause, but resuming play almost never works if it's left paused for more than a few minutes. I have a feeling the standard earbuds had the same problem, which makes me think it's some sort of power-saving feature gone awry.

I did contact Sennheiser's support, they should have contacted Apple. What I find strange, is that nobody has done that before. I mean, it's not a third-rate, obscure brand, it's one of the majors. And I am positive my headphones work in themselves, I have tried them with my Mac and both the volume and play/pause buttons function correctly.

Ah well, It's now a question of waiting. I have no idea how long it will take either party to sort out such a problem but at least Sennheiser appear to be acknowledging they have to do the updates. Keep us updated as things develop. Interesting that friend, deggie, reports similar problems with Bose.
Buy Bose.
Bose users are reporting the same problems.
That's hardly a solution... Besides, I prefer Sennheiser's voice than Bose's.
