Bluetooth connection problem with ipad 2

I recently purchased a Hometrainer (Tacx Neo Smart) which can be controlled with various APP's connection via bluetooth. On my new iPad air 2 I downloaded the FulGaz and TaxCyclingapp. With this two apps I could setup a easily setup a bluetooth connection and control my Hometrainer.

Now I tried the same with an older ipad 2 from my wife. But it did not work. I do not even see the device when die APP is scanning for bluetooth connections. I tried with both APP's, but the Hometrainer could not be recognized on either side.

What could be the reason for this problem? Any ideas how this problem could be solved.
