How do you change date setting? From 2560 to 2017?

My date says 2560 instead of 2017. It's doing that with apps too. How do I change this?

iPhone 6, iOS 10.2

Yes there is but not where you think it is.

Tap Settings (Gears icon) on Home screen

then tap General

then tap on the right panel > Language & Region

then tap Calendar

then from the 3 choices, select Gregorian

i think the problem is Google - if the “Region for search results” (set in settings>search settings at the bottom of a google search window) is set to “Current Region” then Google will display the calendar date regardless of your iOS settings.

Unfortunately the only way to change this is by setting the “Region for search results” to a country with Gregorian calendar - o.c. one would not get specific results for the current region then...
