How do I install a Microsoft Lifecam Studio USB camera?

I want to use my Microsoft Lifecam Studio camera on my iMac.

I have Sierra OS.

I have the camera plugged in but it is not recognized.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

iMac, iOS 10.2

I am doing multiple camera angles and it does not make sense to pick up a Mac and stand it at different angles. Besides, the Mac can do a lot but it won't fit on my tripod.😝

Like I said, any help is appreciated.

Microsoft do not supply Mac software for their cameras, they are designed for Windows only.

You will need to do the legwork yourself by searching online for 3rd party software, but not all web cameras are supported. The real answer of course is to buy a Mac compatible camera.
