Photos in shared album are compressed?

I found that my shared photos are compressed in the shared album. Is it possible to share the original JPE or RAW to my friends using Photos app?

Shared albums are having a size limit for the shared photos. If the photos are larger, they will be down sized.

See: iCloud Photo Sharing - Apple Support

When shared, photos taken with standard point-and-shoot cameras, SLR cameras, or iOS devices have up to 2048 pixels on the long edge. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide.

iCloud Photo Sharing supports both MP4 and QuickTime video file types, and H.264 and MPEG-4 Video file formats. Videos can be up to five minutes in length and are delivered at up to 720p resolution.

To share your photos in the original size send them by Mail. If you are using Mail Drop, you can share large photos.

Since Apple does not charge for storage for iCloud Photo Sharing is it logical that they would have size limits - and they do provide alternative methods that will share full sized photos if iCloud Photo Sharing does not meed your needs

hope Photos become better.

iCloud Sharing is not part of Photos and is not even a Mac service - it is an iCloud service and can be used from a Mac, IOS devices and PCs - Photos is not required at all
