what's the point to reset your cellular data statistics

It is a good way to monitor your cellular usage in the event that you have a limited data plan. If you see that you are approaching you monthly data limit, you can scale back your usage to avoid overage fees.


I reset mine monthly to coincide with my billing period and then monitor it during the month.

Keep in mind that cellular data usage as displayed in Settings>Cellular on your phone may not accurately reflect what your carrier charges you for. For, example, if you spent an hour on the phone with your carrier's customer service, that might show on the phone but not on your bill.


If you want to monitor what your carrier is planning on charging you for, see if they have an app you can download.
