Will it be possible for my ipod to carry with windows virus?

I ordered an Apple 30 GB iPod video Black (5.5 Generation)
from Amazon.com yesterday.Will it be possible for my ipod to carry with windows virus?

If you use windows and have it formated as windows-Of course it can get a virus.
Will it come with windows formated iPod?
Supposedly Apple fixed that issue-if unsure reformat it when it come out of the box.

i want to sent this ipod to my friend in China. i just saw "We recently discovered that a small number - less than 1% - of the Video iPods available for purchase after September 12, 2006, left our contract manufacturer carrying the Windows RavMonE.exe virus" on your website.

my friend use Windows computers.i don't want to damage his computer.so i want to know will it be possible for my ipod to carry with windows virus?
