Reprocess RAW photos

Hi there,

I have an issue with some raw files imported on an ipad. I think it is reproducible for me:

  • I imported RAW Photos (.arw from i Sony DSC-RX100) using the ipad camera connection kit to an ipad
  • The RAW photos were synced to my icloud photos library, and from there synced to my mac
  • Now in Photos for Mac (Sierra Edition) all these photos only have a very small photo preview (would say only 50% of screen in full screen mode)

I can fix this, by using the editor, starting crop function, and leave editor again for example. I don't have to change anything, just starting an editor function is enough. After this the photo has the full size and looks good.

Rotating left/right in overview is not working to get the correct photo size. Also a "repair" of the library wasn't helpful.

Is there any way to reprocess all selected RAW images in a batch run? There is a function in menu, but it is greyed out and I cannot activate it.

Thanks a lot for any help!

Reprocess RAW is only available if the RAW development for your camera changed. after installing an update with a new RAW support you can use this button.

There is no batch option available to reprocess the Raw image. you could try to export the raw files With an X ℗ sidecar file to save the metadata,, Delete them from the library, then reimport them.
