Khan Academy: "We're having trouble loading external resources"

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

Sierra, version 10.12.2

Safari version 10.0.2

When going to www.khanacademy.org, the whole webpage is distorted and I get this message: :

If you're behind a web filter, please make sure that the domains *.kastatic.org and *.kasandbox.org are unblocked.

Additionally, when I go to buzzfeed, the web page looks like this:

I've done all the normal trouble shooting steps:

- Cleared history

- Cleared cookies

- Plugins allowed

- Java allowed

- Flash player up to date

- No parental controls (admin account)

Please help me figure out how to get these websites working normally again! Thank you!
