I got the iPhone 7 Plus last week and ever since I haven't been able to access public WiFi networks where you have to "login" or agree to terms & conditions (i.e. airport, mall, etc.). I tried switching off the Auto Login toggle a bunch of times but that hadn't worked.
If it's just a matter of the login or introductory screen failing to appear, go into Safari and just try to launch a website (maybe from your Favourites). That will usually force the sign-on screen to come up.

Did you tried to logon to other captive portal WLAN hotspots? Probably the captive Portal WIFI is not compatible with IOS. You could also try to open Safari. And you can try to enter the Default Gateway ip address from Networks Settings into the Safari browser to directly Access the router.

Doesn't work. It jus then switches to 3G and loads the website.
I can't answer for the 7, but my 6Plus had the same issue. Entering web addresses did not work. But, powering down and re-starting did -- the login page came up immediately when I selected the hotel wifi network.
Yes, I've been having the same issue with my 7, and a good ol' reboot did the trick.
