Connecting iPod to TV via RF modulator

I am trying to connect my 5G video ipod to my TV using a Belkin AV cable through a Radio Shack RF modulator with no luck. I am connecting all jacks and turning on my ipod - the RF modulator is not turning on as it does when I power my DVD player. My video settings are TV Out ON, NTSC, Widescreen OFF - Anyone have any thoughts?

How do you plan to get a signal out if you don't turn on your RF Mod?
Looks like your IPOD settings are OK; also re-check your A/V cables if you haven't did so far.
You can also substitute another source like your DVD player to test and checkout your RF Mod. first!

Good luck and I hope this helps-@DD

Post the RS SKU or the Model No.?--and I'll go on line and look at it!!

It may stay on all the time along as you have power?
You also may need to re-read your info on your RF Mod-- review how you connect it to your TV and how to setup your TV for the RF signal; CH 3 or 4?? etc.

If the Modulator works OK with the DVD players as I suggested that you try;
Then the problem would lie with your Ipod and/or cables ?
The TV has to be on CH 3 or 4 which ever is not used in your area;
But first; check to see if your IPOD is setup correctly.

Check Ipod settings; make sure TV= ON and NTSC for output.
Read the info on your cables so you know if they’re connected correctly?
Make sure you know the color of the A/V Video cable? To input the RF Mod.

Down the road it would be advise you upgrade your TV system;
To have S-Video, RCA Composite and or Component inputs;
This will allow you to receive a much better picture than using RF.
