How many devices can be on an apple id?

You can have ten devices (no more than five of them computers) associated with your Apple ID and iTunes at one time.

I'm trying to upload a couple of movies onto my new iPad but it won't let me, it states I have reached the device limit even though I only have 8 devices under my ID. 😕

Up to 10 devices but don't share your apple ID each person needs own

APple id they are not made to share .
