Change date format in Numbers on Imac

Shows year, month, date format in Numbers, how can it be transposed, to thus read, say, 13 January 2017?

iMac with Retina 5K display, iOS 10.2

Hi Clifford,


This is set for individual cells (or a group fo cells) in the Cell Inspector, a section of the Format Inspector. The list of available formats depends on your Region and Language setting in System Preferences. Here's the list as it appears on my computer:

To open the Inspector, select a cell to be formatted, click the Format paintbrush at the right end of the tools, then choose Cell:
