Cracking sound coming from MacBook pro 2016 (15 inch touchbar)

Since I got the computer less than a month ago, I have been hearing cracking/popping sounds (sounds similar to the track pad click, but louder) coming from the body (I can't tell exactly where). It is not a software/speaker issue, bacause it happens when the computer is off too. I have no idea if these two problems are related, but it seems that temperatures have gotten hotter, around 5-10C since I purchased it. (especially using chrome and editing in fcp). I do my best to keep the computer cool, limiting intensive tasks like rendering and games to about 60-65C.

heyy

Ok, this is weird but ill try to brainstorm....

try to use use safari (works better with touchbar)
try to boot in safe mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262
contact apple to see if it is a hardware failure or something... don't be soft on them.. you paid more than $2500 on that machine, you want it to be perfect....

i have the same issue with my macbook 13" escape edition. it feels like it's the chassi expanding from heat. found a video of it on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2gxz53QTZ4 my crackle's can be way worse then the tiny one in the video.

Yes! Finally I find someone like me.

I find that when macbook pro temperatures coming up from cool to hot and then near the fan area will have a cracking sound. After cooling down and I repeat from cool to hot sound again.

Yes, I am thinking the hinge might be too tight on mine (should I be able to lift the lid without picking up the rest of the computer?) And it just expands when heated/cooled. I will take it in and post an update for y'all.

the lid should open the computer and not lift it... right?

I'll take a look at the floor models, but I'm pretty sure the hinge is too tight

Hi, any response on this? Mine also will lift the base of the computer when opening, I have to keep a finger on the base. Having big issues with popping
