why do some emails only appear on my iphone and not on my laptop?

I often get email on my iPhone that does not show up on my MacBook Air. It seems like this is happens when I first download and read the email ti my iPhone.

I have two IMAP accounts set up on my Mac (iCloud and Google)

I did not recieve your replies on my Mac email, only on my iPhone email.

Iap should sync on both. You have to correct the settings of the email account server, in your Mac, Mail->PREFERENCES->Accounts->server settings.

Is it a POP mail account? Then when downloaded once on a device, it will not appear on another device. If you want that, you should change the email account to Imap (if possible).
