Water aerobics?

I do water aerobics 3 to 4 times a week. I have an Apple Watch series 2. I put the workout on open swim but it didn't count my steps in the pool. Is there anything that I can put the workout on that will lock the screen(water proof) and will also count my steps?

Hi

The Workout app includes two swimming activity types: Pool Swim and Open Water Swim.

Each of these activity types is designed to calculate calories (and to track laps, for pool swims) based on your swimming stroke, so neither is appropriate for water aerobics.

As water aerobics is not just continuous swimming, your best option is to record your activity as "Other".

This will credit one minute of Exercise for each full minute of the workout. Active calories will be estimated at a rate equivalent to a brisk walk or based on data recorded by the heart rate sensor, whichever is higher.

Water Lock (which prevents accidental interactions with the screen and, when turned off, clears water from the speaker) is not enabled automatically during Other workouts. It can instead be enabled manually during your workout by following the instructions here:
