I figured out my problem. Hope it helps you! I had to turn off both my keyboard and mouse, then start up the computer in recovery mode. Without any connection the computer will search for both items. I had tried this before, but apparently having the mouse turned on keeps the computer from doing it's search. Good luck!
WWhy does no one respond to these issues I too am unable to sign in the mac must have a virus. I have tried my sons keyboard and that is not recognised yet it says keyb batteries are ver low with brand new fully charged Duracell batteries
can can someone out there help. Is there a way of starting the computer in safe mode withou a keyboard input
TThank you very much for your input, unfortunately it hasn't sorted the problem.
I get a brief glimpse of keyboard not connected and then it moves onto the login screen and says keyboard batteries very low.
I Have tried unplugging it but every time it boots up exactly the same with the batteries out of both keyboard and mouse, it recognises briefly no keyboard but doesn't mention the mouse. I don't have a clue as to what to do, is there a way of starting the iMac in safe mode without a keyboar, I have tried holding the start button continually but nothing just the same log in screen.
My wireless keyboard is disconnected and i cant sign in to re-pair them. Help!
