Failed connection between iPhone and MacBook Pro

Failed to connect my iPhone 7 to my new MacBook Pro Retina (both latest updates, including iTunes), iPhone constantly vibrates when plugged and iTunes on Mac shows message like: "iTunes could not check for an update to the carrier settings for your iPhone. This device is no longer connected." I've already tried to restart both devices, but nothing helps. Any suggestions about solving the problem?

Hey Grah123,

I see from your post you ar having an issue with your iPhone and MacBook Pro Retina not connecting correctly.

You have done great troubleshooting thus far. From the steps, you have tried thus far points to the cable possibly being the cause of the issue.

Are you able to test with a second cable?

Resolve USB-related alerts in iTunes has additional troubleshooting steps and suggestions for this issue.

Cheers.
