how to enable siri when screen is locked on IOS 10.2

When you open Settings -> Siri, there is an option "Access When Locked" which is grayed out.

But there is an option to enable it if you open "Touch ID & Passcode". After you enter your passcode, scroll down to the section "Allow Access When Locked". Under this section Siri is disabled but you can slide the button to the right to enable it.

But once you leave this screen, it gets disabled again. Is there a way to fix this issue or it is a bug?

The reason I need it enabled is because I use Blueant Commute hands free speaker phone in the car which used to trigger Siri with voice prompts but after 10.2 update it does not trigger Siri when iPhone screen is locked. It works if screen is unlocked.

I will appreciate any help.

iPhone 6, iOS 10.2

It may help to check the following settings:

  • Settings > General > Restrictions - check that the restriction for Siri & Dictation is not enabled.
  • Settings > General > Keyboard - check that Enable Dictation is turned on.
  • Settings > Siri - disable, pause for a few moments and then re-enable Siri.

Hi

As it is not possible to enable Siri when your iPhone is locked, restrictions may be enforced on your iPhone via a corporate configuration profile, mobile device management or Exchange policy.

If your iPhone is managed in this way, contact your device administrator for assistance.

Sorry, I totally forgot that I have company email setup on my personal iphone as well. Today, I checked other company iphones and all of them had same issue. Then I decided to removed Secure Hub by Citrix setup. Once removed this, Siri got enabled. Thanks for your pointer towards company software.
