iphone icons default to top left corner of the start screen

Is there a way to make them "drop" to the bottom of the screen? Like, closer to a finger? Other words, had there been only 1 icon on my screen than I would like it being displayed on the bottom right corner of the START screen and not in the upper left. Please help

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.2, any iPhone

Hi

It is not possible to cause app icons to be anchored from the bottom of the Home screen rather than the top.

Move apps to the Dock

You may wish to consider relocating the icons for your most frequently used apps to the Dock, which is located at the bottom of the Home screen. If so, be sure to remove an existing app from the Dock first, to make room.

To relocate app icons:

  • Lightly place your finger on an app icon and keep it there (do not press down at all on it) until all of the icons start jiggling.
  • Drag and drop the icon to your preferred location (remove your finger from the screen to drop it).
  • Press the Home button when done.

Use Reachability

Another option is to use Reachability. This feature enables you to lightly double-tap the Home button to bring content from the top of the screen into reach at the bottom of the screen. This may be helpful, for example, during one-handed use of your iPhone.

Another light double-tap on the Home button returns to full screen, as does tapping in the upper area of the screen.

If this feature is not currently enabled, to turn it on:

Go to: Settings > General > Accessibility - turn on / off Reachability.
