Airport Time Capsule "Double NAT" error

I use my Airport Time Capsule as my wireless router with Verizon's router providing its internet access. I've turned off wireless access to on the Verizon router but I still get a Double NAT error on Airport Utility. I have no knowledge of any other problem, other than that orange dot and the red one that goes along with it. I've searced for some way to turn off the NAT on the router. Can I use point forwarding as a work-around? The router docs speak of that with a NAT error with a gaming server. The router connection to Airport Time Capsule is Cat5 and the router address for it is 192.168.1.5 while the Time Capsule uses a LAN IP address of 10.0.1.1. I'm only partially acquainted with the stuff I'm typing here, so any help would be greatly received. Full explanations for this simpleton would also be appreciated.

You only want one router on a network providing NAT service. Since NAT cannot be turned "off" on the Verizon router, you will need to turn it "off" on the Time Capsule.

Open AirPort Utility on your Mac........Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility

Click on the picture of the Time Capsule

Click Edit in the smaller window that appears

Click the Network tab at the top of the next window

Change the setting for Router Mode from DHCP and NAT to "Off" (Bridge Mode)

Click Update at the lower right of the window and allow a minute for the Time Capsule to restart, to a nice, bright green light

Sorry, not sure that I Understand what you are saying here.

Are you saying that Apple Support had you set up the Time Capsule with a Double NAT error?......something that their own AirPort Utility software will tell you to avoid?.....since the software will ask you to place the Time Capsule in the correct Bridge Mode configuration?

Strange advice.....if that is what it really was.

Interactive online gaming will never work reliably....if it works at all....wth a Double NAT error present on the network.
