Converting PDF text to Spoken Text iTunes File

Mac OS used to have an option where you could convert a PDF text file into spoken text. It was native to the software and essentially the process was to select all in a PDF document (it only works with a PDF not Word), then you would Control + Click or “Right Click” and in the options would be an option to convert to iTunes. It would then convert the text and add it to your iTunes library as a spoken text as a file. I no longer see this option with the OS update. Does anyone know how to accomplish this now?

FWIW, you can convert a text document to a spoken track and add it iTunes in TextEdit. I don't know if Preview could do that with PDF files.

You can also select text from a web page in Safari and do the same thing.

As it turns out, just about any Apple app that you can select text in will create a spoken track and add it to iTunes. I haven't found any way to do that with PDF files.

Last but not least, There is no such thing as a PDF text file. Furthermore, you can open a Word document (.doc only) in Pages and add it as an iTunes track.
