Bluetooth Headset causes onscreen keyboard to be disabled

I have an iPhone 7 running iOS 10.2 (14C92) and a Sony SBH54 Bluetooth Headset.

I have noticed, recently, that when I have the headset connected, the onscreen keyboard no longer works; in fact it does not appear on screen as expected. If I disable Bluetooth on the phone or power off the headset then the keyboard comes back!

I can not recall when this problem started - whether it was an iOS update. In fact I am not even sure if it is an iOS issue or a problem on the Headset - though the most likely candidate would seem to be the phone.

With the iPhone 7 now not having the headphone socket, as you can imagine this is quite problematic!

TRY THIS! To to settings>general>Reset>reset all settings! Wait till phone powers back on and try connecting your head set again. Once connected check and your on screen keyboard should be able to function while headsets are connected! I was so ready to return my headsets after trying so many options and then I had this great idea! Lol. Hope it works for you. Btw this reset WONT delete your apps, pics or any other contents saved on your phone ✌-1F3FB;

Iam also facing the same issue with my iphone7 running iOS 10.2.1.... keyboard doesn't pop up when connected to my newly purchased Sony SBH54 Bluetooth headset. What's is the purpose of connecting Bluetooth headset if we can't even browse or Text someone while connected to Bluetooth headset. Apple team needs to fix this bug soon. Awaiting for some swift resolution to this issue....thanks in advance
