Beware of scam emails on iCloud accounts!

Pics of the email and subsequent screen after I touched link elements. Never clicked on the "verify account" link. Changed my Apple ID password immediately.

Looked funky to me, so I touched the Privacy Policy link on the bottom, and it took me here:

Just be safe, I immediately changed my Apple ID password.

Visually it's pretty good. For the benefit of others, here is a genuine email from Apple for the same reason.


Note the differences...


Apple uses my full name.

Apple uses my full Apple ID.

Apple only directs me to a website, using the full URL, to address this. They don't supply a link.


The link is how they get your personal data.
