Moon symbol next to text message on iPhone

I just noticed this symbol beside the name of a person I'm texting with. Any idea what this is, and means?

Hi

When the crescent moon icon is shown beside a contact's name in the messages list in the Messages app, it means that you have selected not to receive notifications about new messages from that contact.

To turn the setting off for that contact:

  • In the Messages app, open the conversation with that contact.
  • Tap on the "i" icon at the upper-right of the screen.
  • Turn off Do Not Disturb.
  • Tap on Done (upper-right).
