Disable swipe camera when locked

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I bought the iphone 7(I didn't use iphone before) and first thing i wanted to disable is swipe to right when my iphone is locked. The reason is everyone can access my photos without having my password. They just need to swipe to right and there you go. All private data is there. No need to read message. I know I can disable camera in restrictions, but again that's a lot of job to do just to take a new photo, then disable it, and if i forgot once to disable it, there you go, you can see my photos again. Is there a better way to disable it?

Thank you!

iPhone 7, iOS 10.2

I just tested this also. Yes, while you can get at the camera from a locked device, you can't actually see any pictures that were previously taken. You NORMALLY see 'recently taken photos' by clicking a square on the bottom left corner, but that does NOT work when you access the camera from the lock screen -- that works only when you access the camera normally. And if you click All Photos, you will get prompted for your passcode. Clicking the home button from here takes you to the lockscreen and not the homescreen, so no concerns there either (but note that clicking the home button my fingerprint-unlock your device, so don't be thrown off by that).

Can you re-confirm that, when the device is locked and you swipe right to use the camera, that you CAN access previously taken photos? Because I cannot (iPhone 7, iOS 10.2).

If you have a passcode (or touchID) set up, your photos and other apps and data are NOT exposed by swiping to open the camera from the lock screen. Only the camera app and any photo taken with it at the time are available (not previously stored photos).

If you are seeing otherwise you have either not set up security properly, or you are inadvertently using TouchID to unlock the phone.

No, you cannot just disable the camera access at the lock screen. In restrictions, you can disable use of the camera, period. But then it is unaccessable at all, even when unlocked.

From the lock screen, if you immediately swipe right to left to bring up the camera, all you can see without unlocking it is whatever the camera is pointed at. The last picture actually taken is not shown at all unless you have taken one without re-locking the screen.
