Signed into new iPhone with current Apple ID but keep getting a popup asking me to sign into the iTunes Store with old Apple ID.

Hello, I got a new iphone7 today and loaded it with my old iphone 6s backup. I am signed in with my current Apple ID but a message is popping up every few minutes asking me to sign into iTunes Store using my old Apple ID. It does not give me the option to switch the emails. I have not used this id in a very long time. At least 5 years. I have since forgotten my password and lost access to the email address so I cannot recover the password. I have attached a picture of the message. I want to sign into iTunes using my current Apple ID.

You're seeing that pop up because you have some old apps that you downloaded with the old apple id, and in order for it to download to your phone it needs the credentials.

Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it.

Identify the app(s) - delete it and reinstall with your current apple id.

You obviously have some apps or music obtained with the old ID - they are PERMANENTLY attached to that ID. The only solution is to delete them and repurchase with the new ID.

I deleted the apps that were still waiting to download. They did seem like apps that were Very old. Hopefully this works, thank you!
