Black screen at restart with Boot camp

I have searched the forum for bootcamp problems and found that the problem I'm experiencing was already discussed here.

I have the exact same mac mini which is connected via thunderbolt (displayport) to my monitor.

In my case I'm trying to install Win10 64 Home full install via a USB drive.

The boot camp assistant performs all three tasks without any problems and then proceeds to restart the computer.

At that point the screen remains black. I look at my USB drive and no activity appears.

I already tried to use the alt/OPTION key at restart but nothing appears.

Following the recommendation from Loner T in the aforementioned discussion, I've already loaded the display drivers from the Bootcamp Support Software 5.1.5621 in the $WinPEDriver$/IntelVBGraphics64 folder in my USB.

Nothing changed. Even tried an HDMI connection to my monitor with no success.

I believe it may be an issue with the Intel Iris Graphics drivers but cannot be completely sure.

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Windows 10 Home 64 bit (downloaded iso from the MS website).

Ok. I already attempted a restart with the mac mini connected to my monitor via HDMI. But no display. After awhile it just boots into OSX.

So, if I understand you correctly, do I need to run the Boot camp assistant and prepare my USB drive with all the necessary windows files WITH the Mac mini connected to my monitor via HDMI and not TB?
