I actually like to use Page 4.03....on one of my macs I updated to Sierra 12.1.2 and now it won't work...says it's not supported. It worked find under 12.1...Anything I can do to use Pages 4.0?

Technically, Pages '09 v4.0.3 should have been updated to v4.1, or v4.3 for compatibility with Mavericks onward. Peter and I both have Pages '09 v4.3 installed on macOS Sierra 10.12.2, and you can too if you download and install the iWork 9.3 updater.
Of course, the proviso is that your iWork '09 DVD installation is not corrupted, or missing dependent components that were installed in System areas. The updater does not reinstall those frameworks.
I am on macOS Sierra 10.12.2 and Pages '09 v4.3 works fine if it has been installed from scratch and updated, or migrated using Migration Assistant.
There are a few minor creeping issues, such as Grammar Checking and sharing emails no longer working, but overall it works fine.

Unfortunately not. You will need to purchase Pages 6 from the App Store.
Minimum requirement is v10.12 or later.
Thanks. I have all versions of Pages, just prefer features of 4 better than the "improved" version. It was better before it got stripes down for the cloud and mobile devices.
Hard to believe that it works on Sierra 12.1, but latest update to 12.1.2 cancels it
I, too, use Pages 4.3 in macOS Sierra 10.12.2. I've used it in Sierra on a daily basis for over 6 months.
There is a BIG difference between v4.0.3 that you have & v4.3 that is stable in Sierra.
