Control Apple Earpods in-line remote on Windows
I want to control my Apple Earpods in-line remote on my HP Probook 450 G3, Windows 10.
Is this, somehow, possible?
Thank you in advance 😉

No, your Windows laptop is unlikely to have a socket that connects to all four connections on the headphone jack, and even if it does it is likely that it will only look for a microphone not the signals that the headphones use to control Apple devices. I guess in principle other manufacturers could design their laptops to be compatible, but this isn't something you could configure yourself.

Okay, thank you for the clear and quick response. :)
Have a nice day.
You're welcome. 🙂

There is nothing to control. It consists of three switches and a microphone. The switches control the Apple device it is plugged into, raising or lowering the volume, starting, stopping or skipping playback, or initiating voice control.

Dear tt2,
I think I didn't explain it so clear. What I mean is that I want to control my three switches on my Apple Earpods while its plugged into my Windows laptop. Is this even possible, because i'm not sure. If so, how can I configurate this?
Thijs.
